MEET THE BOARD OF WHY NOT PETITES
In the creative world, there is always an amazing team behind the scenes that you never get to see. In this case, you do! We are the models in front of the camera as well as the team coordinating things behind the scenes. We do also have the help of a few other people that you don't always get to see or hear from. You will get a chance to learn a bit about them here. Below you will get to know the people that help make Why Not Petites successful!

To me, modeling has become so much more than a stoic figure displaying clothes or an item. Prior to meeting Britney, my experience with modeling was minimal and mostly in the realm of e-commerce. While commercial modeling is fun (and a great paycheck), creatively, it can feel pretty rigid performing the same motions for every shoot. Quite frankly, as a 5’5 model, runway or editorial modeling wasn’t even in the cards for me because I took “no” for an answer from my agents at the time and petite models on the catwalk weren’t really a thing…or so I thought.
One day, my friend, Taylor, sent me an invite to a launch party for this new company called, “Why Not Petites.” She and I love any reason to dress up and get free food, so it was a no brainer for us. Plus, we got to see what this “petite modeling” thing was all about. There must have been some magic in the air that day because it sparked, no, exploded this energy inside of me and launched me into this spectacular side of modeling.
From taking 1:1 coaching sessions with Britney to researching the ins and outs of the modeling industry through their forum and online resources, I owe my start into runway and the high-fashion community to Britney and the “Why Not Petites” team. They have opened my eyes to see beyond perceived limitations and unlock the artist inside me. I am so proud to be a part of “Why Not Petites” and look forward to building this community further!

Hey there I'm Andrew! I was actually the first person Britney talked to when she came up with the idea of Why Not Petites and jumped at the opportunity to help her vision become a reality. We worked on the logo and fleshed out the idea together and now here we are!

I have been working with fellow creatives for half a decade in the Chicagoland area. I have worked as a photographer, videographer, audio engineer, graphic designer & much more. Being in the creative field, I have always worn many hats and enjoyed learning each new skill.
As my skillset expanded, I found a friendship with Britney Wittes, the founder of Why Not Petites. Hearing about the vision, and seeing the drive behind Britney’s eyes, I joined the team from the beginning to use my expansive creative knowledge for pushing Why Not Petites forward.
I now work behind the scenes of Why Not Petites in any way I can to continue to support the vision and message behind the company. When Britney asked me to be in charge of the podcast, I was happy to do so! I also help run their events behind the scenes, to ensure everything goes smoothly.
I am always willing to do anything for WNP because I believe in what they are working towards. I am excited to watch this idea blossom even more and can not wait to see what the future holds.

Not a Model*

Hey there, I’m Athena! I would describe myself as a creative because I love “all of the things” and if I’m able to do it all, I strive to do so. Styling has been a part of me since I was young. Sketching and spicing up my wardrobe was just something I did without thinking & just for fun. I have always taken some risk without realizing it. Funny enough, as I was growing up, I never considered fashion as a career until I was attending college and it all clicked. I started out planning to be a lawyer, but ended up at Columbia College Chicago. My style can definitely not be put in a box - I love it all but "edging things up" is my forte.
2022 is when I officially became a stylist full time. Fortunately, I’ve had the luxury of learning so much due to working different parts of the company. My amazing friend Andy introduced me to Britney and Why Not Petites. I loved everything about the concept (being petite myself!). I’ve dabbled in modeling, so getting to see this amazing community and what they stand for was truly so thrilling, as well as inspiring. I got to see it in action for the first time when I had the amazing opportunity to be a Stylist for one of their fashion shows! I was immediately hooked. When Why Not Petites was looking for a new associates, it was meant to be! I’m so thankful that I was give the opportunity to become a part of Why Not Petites. So so excited for what’s to come & to continue growing!

Freelance Model
Hello! I’m Leticia, a petite model with a passion for art and creativity. As an artist, I’ve always been drawn to vibrant colors and intricate compositions, creating detailed drawings and paintings.

My journey in the modeling world started four years ago, initially as a hobby to keep my artistic spirit alive amidst a demanding nine-to-five job. Although I hesitated initially, I was more intrigued than anything. To my surprise, I discovered that modeling was similar to painting on a canvas, with one key difference: I was both the muse and the creator. Finding this new outlet allowed me to continue expressing my creativity without compromising my busy schedule.

Modeling has pushed my boundaries, not only as an artist but also in self-discovery. Throughout my journey, I’ve been fortunate to meet new friends, work with creative individuals, and find a supportive community. Their encouragement has been instrumental in my growth as a petite model, and I aspire to pay it forward to new aspiring models.

Today, I am thrilled to say instead, I am a part of “Why Not Petites”. I am excited to help bring their mission statement to life in creating opportunities for petite models like myself but also providing a space for learning and sharing knowledge with fellow petite models providing the support needed to be successful and confident models. This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, and I am excited to see where or what runway it takes me next!
